Casa O - Curato

Curato sits on Carrera 7 in San Diego, well inside Cartagena's Walled City and a few minutes on foot from the Plaza de San Diego. It takes twelve guests across six bedrooms and six beds — one bed to a room, which is worth saying plainly, because it means six couples, each with a door that closes, and nobody folded onto a sofa to make the number work. Seven bathrooms serve them, one more than there are bedrooms. A pool and a jacuzzi sit at the centre of the house. That arrangement is unusual at this size: most houses that sleep twelve get there by putting extra beds in the larger rooms. Curato is one of five Casa O houses inside the walls, all within a short walk of one another.
