Casa Azzurra - Carbonera

Carbonera stands on the old street of the same name, inside Cartagena's Walled City. It sleeps fourteen across five bedrooms and nine beds, with six bathrooms — one private to each bedroom and another besides — which makes it one of the easier houses here for two families travelling together, or for a group that would rather not divide itself between addresses. The pool and the jacuzzi are the centre of the house, and most afternoons end up there. Air conditioning runs throughout and the Wi-Fi reaches the far rooms. Beds are made up in 400-thread-count Egyptian cotton, and every bedroom has a 42-inch smart TV with cable and its own safe. Carbonera is one of three Azzurra houses within the walls. What they share is a standard rather than a look — the same attention to the parts of a house you only notice once you have unpacked and stayed a night.
